Press releaseOn Sunday December 11 2011, at 4:07pm Officers responded to a man with a gun call on Camelia Circle and a shooting call on Carver Street. Officers found a victim with gunshot wound lying in the bushes on the side of roadway on Carver Street. A witness on scene stated that the altercation had occurred on a path between Camelia Circle and Carver Street and he and victim ran down a path back to Carver Street where the victim collapsed. Victim was transported by Upstate Carolina EMS to the hospital where he expired. Officers and Detectives on scene were able to locate and apprehend the shooter and weapon in the area a short time later with the assistance of the witness’ description and information from nearby residents.
